<br>GOALS FOR THE CANE CORSO ITALIANO <br><br>To produce a Cane Corso that is: <br><br>a) Recognizably a Cane Corso. <br>b) Has Good or Excellent hips. <br>c) Fits into the height and weight regulations. <br>d) Has a stable temperament and fight/prey drive. <br>e) Well off in the area of cardiac, nervous, and immune health. <br>f) Is a well-rounded family and working dog. <br>g) Protective, wary, and dignified, and never aggressive, unpredictable, or lazy. <br>h) Is medium-sized--suitable for demanding work such as police/advanced protection, but <br>also suitable for family and being inside the home. <br>i) Careful and patient around children. <br>j) Robust, smart, noble; what a Cane Corso should be. <br>k) An embodiment of the FCI (Italian) standard. <br><br>GOALS FOR THE GREAT DANE <br><br>To produce a Great Dane that is: <br><br>a) Recognizably a Great Dane. <br>b) Has Good or Excellent hips. <br>c) Is at the very least 30" at the shoulder for females and 34" at the shoulder for males. <br>d) Has a stable, humorous, and very gentle temperament and disposition. <br>e) Suitable for a family with children.* <br>f) Correct color and hues of the following--Blue, Black, Brindle, Fawn, Mantle, or Harlequin. <br>g) Healthy cardiovascular system, nervous system, and immune system. <br>h) That has an extended lifespan compared to others of his breed. <br>i) Has a large headpiece, with at least 2 inches of jowl, proportioned to his skull--bodily substance. <br>j) Noble, dignified, wary, and intelligent. <br><br>* Families with small children probably shouldn't have Danes just because of their immense size... unless they are always supervised.
