well i have read twilight series 3 times, where do you go after that?so i have been searching and found this series byLaurell k Hamilton, they are about shapeshifters and vampires, has anyone read any of her books?
OMG

Laurel K Hamilton is my FAVORITE vampire author after Stephenie Meyer

But, they are definitely NOT for kids. There's A LOT of adult content and language.

But I enjoy Anita Blake very much, I'm on Blue Moon x3
Be warned, those Laurell K Hamilton books get REALLY mature, REALLY fast. After the 5th or so book there's stuff that kids under 16, and a lot of stuff that kids under 18, should NOT be reading about.

I've read up to the 14th book or something like that, and they get VERY graphic, and I don't just mean violence.
Uhm, I have some suggestions :]

The Masquerade series

Two Suns in the Sky

Anne of Green Gables series

thanks to all who replied, and all the concerns but i am over 18 :P
but i understand others seeing this might be under age,.but myself am looking for something interesting on a mature level
There is a new show on HBO called TrueBlood and it's based off a book series by Charlaine Harris.. The show is AWESOME, but not for anyone under 18. I think the books are called The Southern Vampire Series or just The Sookie Stackhouse Series.. I'm not sure but I hope to start reading them soon!

Teddybears, if you get HBO you should definitely watch TrueBlood.. it's soooo good! My new favorite show.
I wouldn't have even noticed it was coming on but I'm a nerd and regularly search "keyword = vampire" on the TV guide x3

When I turn 18 I'm going to rent it or watch it on YouTube xD

Kaz is correct Even though I'm under 18 and I still read them x3
Laurel K Hamilton - So, besides all the bad things about it, what does she basically write...? Like, the stories... What's the stories like?

She's really an amazing author, I just had to stress how graphic they were because this is, after all, a children's game. =p

The stories are well thought out and interesting, and it's really hard to put the book down once you pick it up.

It's not just a book full of puppy love, like Twilight, and the vampires are much more, well, vampiric, and the werewolves much more... lycanthrope-y. And the other weres are amazing too.

The Were's in her series tend to actually ACT like the animals that they're Were's of. So bonus points there.

Plots are stringed with subplots, it's not the end of the world if you miss a book or two, they generally fill you in on what's happened in the past books.

And the characters! Ahmazing. The main female character, Anita, is like... Bella on steroids. With a more sarcastic, more female attitude. (If you've noticed a lot of women have grown tougher over time, and don't clean the house, watch the babies, and cry over nothing major. Anita shows this.) There are a ton of major characters, so you can always find at least one that you like. =3
