<span style="font-weight:bold">April Seventh</span><br><br>Three years,<br>And I still cannot forget…<br><br>I cried by your side,<br>As you fell in fate’s hands,<br>Trembling memories,<br>Bringing back the scent,<br>The sounds,<br>The images –<br>Nothing is unreal;<br>I wish it were.<br><br>You laid your eyes on me,<br>Saying your final good-bye<br>Those soft eyes of yours,<br>I wish to see them just once more<br>To see loyalty and trust,<br>Like no other<br><br>Cancer had struck,<br>Heartache began<br>With a raining pain<br>That seems to come to no end<br>I try to swallow the past,<br>To remember only the good,<br>But sorrow seeps into everything,<br>I wish it never would.<br><br>I still wish it all the time,<br>For you to be back by my side,<br>And even though I know it will not come true,<br>I hope the message is still getting to you,<br>I hope you realize how much I loved you,<br>How much we all loved you –<br>We all never forgot<br>How much you brought us.<br><br>I was happy when your pain left,<br>Because your suffering wasn’t deserved,<br>To keep our happiness preserved;<br>And don’t worry, my friend,<br>I am happy you were smiling until the end,<br>I will never forget your strong spirit,<br>Your loving devotion,<br>Your courageous compassion.<br><br>You were,<br>And still are,<br>A great friend to no ends.<br><br>You changed my life,<br>You knew how to bring me home,<br>To open my eyes to a world unknown,<br>Because you were a huge influence,<br>A perfect piece of my soul<br>That was sadly torn away from me.<br><br>It is not completely gone,<br>That piece of you in me,<br>Because I can feel it every day,<br>I can smile and know you are free<br>From the pain you certainly didn’t deserve<br>I can laugh for what fun we had,<br>And look back on the happy memories –<br>For there was never a day of sadness for you,<br>You were always willing to please.<br><br>And even if I have to cry,<br>On every April Seventh for the rest of my life –<br>I know with all my heart,<br>It was well worth it. <br><br><br>

All this is like..amazing.<br><br>I love that poem. You could be such an amazing poet / photographer. I've read that poem 6 times, almost brought tears to my eyes. Absoloutely wonderful. x]
