Good Grammar

Well, I've been seeing this image <img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b56/parker7792/grammar.png"; alt="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b56/parker7792/grammar.png"; class="bb-image" /> in some people's signatures,<br>and it honestly makes me laugh (no offence to the person who made it).<br>"Do you support?" is a sentence fragment. A complete sentence (proper grammar) has both a subject and a predicate;<br>in this case, "Do you <span style="color:red">support</span>?" only has the predicate, colored in red. The <span style="color:blue">subject</span> would be "good grammar?"<br><br>The complete sentence would be, "Do you<span style="color:red"> support</span><span style="color:blue"> good grammar</span>?"

    hehehe it had me sort of twitching when I first saw that banner, which was quite a while ago.. but of course, I learned to live with it whenever someone had it in their signature : ) <br><br>I am fairly sure that it was made that way for a reason, though.

    Thats really funny. I always stare at those and think "what's wrong here?" But I gess you caught it. I think they should have made it more obvious, ya know. For people like me who have to stare at it for 7 hours and then get it....kinda. :lol:

    Well hello guys. :]<br>I happen to be the one that made that banner.<br><br>And to be perfectly honest, it's grammatically correct, just not in the FORMAL English sense.<br><br>It's written as a statement, then a question.<br>'Do you support?' <--- that, written by itself, is a sentence. It's a question. It forms a complete sentence.<br><br>&& If that's the case, then the whole g.ay pride slogan is grammatically incorrect, because that's what I based my little phrase off of.<br><br>The whole point of it is to stop people who type in sentences similar to this --> "Yo mi nam is prkr.i ply dis game itz fun lolzzz umm yah"
