So it was my birthday on Friday. The big one. Since I hadn't gotten my permit until May 2nd (which was a little after my half birthday) I had to wait to take my driving test. It was scheduled for Nov. 4th (today).

Since I had gotten a car for my birthday, all I needed was for my license. The car actually, was my mom's old one but she got a bmw so the other one was all mine. My mom got it all cleaned out and waxed that it looked new.

It's a 03 Honda Civic. Kinda looks like this:

<img src="

When I practiced this with my teacher, he had to keep repeating things to me and seemed annoyed I couldn't grasp it. I could go foward ok but not backwards. He just made me feel stressed.

So I went to take the test today and I got some lady testing me that looked strict or grumpy. When I had to back out she said to go to the left and I turned the wheel the wrong way! She told me to pull in again and this time go out the right. I fixed it and off we went. I had to drive through some neighborhoods and whatnot. Getting back to the testing area, I had to pull up to the maneuverability course. That's when I felt the worry. I made it foward fine and when I started to back up... I was surprised. For the first time ever I got it totally right! I remembered every little thing and came out perfect.

She gave me my sheet and said I passed. I missed 10 points for wide turns but that was it (miss 26 and you fail). I went in and got my license while my mom kept hugging me.

As we were about to leave, we watched as someone else took the maneuverability part. He totally backed up crooked and was heading for a cone. I was like, "oh no oh no! Dont hit it!" and then he hits the gas a bit and knocks it over. Knocking over a cone is an automatic fail. After that he had to pull out. I felt so bad for him but happy for me at the same time.

After we got home my mom gave me money. I took my sister and I out to dinner. Then we stopped at a bookstore to spend a $50 giftcard I had, then the mall, and then up to the school to figure out where I would park tomorrow. I only hit one thing (the stupid curb) because I took the turn too sharp. I was worrying about what that lady marked. I only hit it with my tire so it was ok. But I am so excited and happy everything is finally over.

I am now a license driver.
