I don't tottally understand what they do and how they work along with wich brands are best so I'm turning to my fellow VPians for advice, so what brand do you have, how well do you like it, what is your favorite thing to do with it, is linearting pretty easy, pros and cons, ect. Please help!

 • I got my tablet 2 years ago this Christmas. :] I had mentioned to my parents I'd like one but I didn't think I'd actually get one. I'm SOOO glad I did.

I use my tablet not only to draw but to make banners and stuff. I use it A LOT for all sorts of graphics. It's hard at first but once you get used to it they are really nice.

I have a Wacom Tablet. Never have had real big problems with it. (sometimes it act weird but all I need to do is restart my computer and it's fine. It's like just doesn't connect right when I boot the computer up.) I really like it.

<a href="http://www.livingroom.org.au/photolog/images/thumbnails/wacom_intuos_tablet.jpg"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://www.livingroom.org.au/photolog/i ... tablet.jpg
Mine is the one that's in the middle. :3

 • I'm not sure what kind mine is, the box is long gone. I've had mine.. a year? I really love pressure sensitivity. It's amazing. I recommend size 6x8 too. It's not too big, not too small.
I also suggest you get one that comes with a photoshop or something as gimp tends to be moody with tablets at times. =]

Wacoms are supposed to be amazing.

Many people for their first tablets go for Bamboo funs. I think you can get those and a program for 100 dollars or so. =3

Mine came with the tablet, and some free trials and it was 100 bucks. e_e Ah well. I love it now.

 • I have a Wacom. <3 It's wonderful. I use it for coloring, banners, occasionally drawing... Wonderful.

But PLEASE remember.

Buying a tablet does NOT make you a better artist right off. It's not gonna increase your artistic talent overnight.

It just. Won't.

I've had my Wacom for nearly two years, and I still can't draw ANYwhere near as well with it as a I can on paper. It takes getting used to, and doesn't equal a quick and easy skill-shortcut. xD

Same here. xD It's easier for my to draw a sketch free hand then with the tablet.

 • It comes in inconsistent phases for me. Normally with what I have available. If my scanner is up, I do it by hand better, if not, tablet. It ranges I guess.
