Banner critiquing please!!

So, I explored gimp some more, and I have created a banner for myself. What do you guys think? Thanks!! I picked it because it is a greyhound. I love how intense the eyes are on the pic. Any other suggestions? -Rosy

Eyes are really cool, i'd just try to smooth out the text somehow, it's kind of choppy and hard to read, but overall, good job.

The ear kinda chops off, and its a bit crude, but over all i like it

1. You can see a line coming down from the ear that should be erased. 2. The text should stand out, yours is blurry. Depending on what program you're using, both of these are easy fixes.

Maybe add a small, 1-2 pixel border around the edge? It makes it look more polished :]

I made a couple quick fixes (just online, w/o opening GIMP again) Does it look better? It seems a bit more finished to me. -Rosy
