Fireworks!!

I hate the things. I've just spent the last 10 mins trying to calm my ferrets down because someone for some reason has been letting off fireworks. <br><br>Who agrees with me? That fireworks should be banned to general public, ONLY set off during the guy Fawlks weekend AND that organized displays should have a licsence of some description.<br><br>For christ sake peeps, how many "accidents" or animal cruelty have to happen before somethings done.<br><br>I HATE THEM!

    I'm sorry, but maybe it's my age showing through, but I don't see the point. Half the time they don't even "sparkle" it's just a bomb type blast that scares the crap out of people (and most animals). Its the animals I feel more sorry for. They dont understand, and it's incredibly scarey for them. <br><br>I even don't understand celebrating Guy Fawks day. I mean, why celebrate the fact that someone tried to be a terrorist and blow up parliment, and then to celebrate the fact that he got hung, drawn and quartered. It don't make sense.

    Guy Fawks is great LOVE IT! <br>When we watch it in London they set fireworks up over the House of Commons and of Lords and it looks so good.<br>But we celebrate it cause of he and many others tryed to kill the King and the British Parliment, but they were stopped and found out. And punished.<br>And even to this day every Guy Fawks the basement of the Houses of Parliment are checked for gun powder.<br><br>But still getting back to the point, even tho I do love fireworks they do scare my dog to death he shakes and wants to hide. So there should be some form of lisence you should have to set them off in your garden. <br>And I know in England you cant set them off past 11 at night, but still that is the only law there is agains them.

    Again. I think it must just be my age. Guy Fawks night don't really appeal to me. I DREAD the weeks just before and after, because where I am it isn't JUST on that day. My poor animals suffer for WEEKS. My ferrets especially. They live out most the time, but because they are so scared (they are all rescues) during this time, I have to keep them in a small cage in my bedroom. They hate it. <br><br>Anyway, like Sunny said. I possibly shouldn't be going on about this in GD, so I'll let it drop for now :(
