So a couple of days ago we raced our dog in the annual dachshund races near us. It was so much fun! They have hurdles, sprints, sofa jump, pet tricks, costume contest and more and it's all for dachshunds! My dog actually finnished the race this year (last year he went 1/2 way and turned around again XD) so that was good!<br><br>Anyone else ever enter thier dogs in races/costume contest/hurdles/pet tricks/ ect.?

    No I never have. Most of my dogs are either too fat or too lazy. And the other 3 are pit bulls. I don't think there's any for pit bulls.

    There are a lot of fun things geared toward APBTs, Midnight-star. In October cities across the US are again having their annual Pit Bull Awareness Day. Google it!! I bet you can find an event near you. Casa del Toro (pit bull rescue) always throws a great day and we have lots of fun and games. <br><br><br><br>Anyhow, I've never raced my dogs but I have taken my APBT Emily to many fun events. <br><br>Just last Tuesday, Sept. 2, our local swimming pool had Soggie Doggie Day. The city was getting ready to drain the park pool and we had a fund raiser for the humane society by letting people bring their dogs to swim in the pool. My Emily had a blast! They had tons of contest like, Frisbee catch, biggest splash, a costume contest, and obsticle coarse.
