Alright this is probably the 2nd or 3rd time I tried to draw a dog. I am not sure how it came out but with this angle I didn't have to worry about the body as much. I hope people can figure out what breed this is. *twitch* Oh and critique would be nice. <img src="http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc278/Skaitie/dogs.png"; alt="http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc278/Skaitie/dogs.png"; class="bb-image" /> I was lazy and just took a picture with my camera and put it on the comp. I was too lazy to go upstairs to get my scanner.

Okay, The overall drawing is nicely done although there are a few things I would change to make it look even better. I find that the left ear is too large in width, especially with the 'bump' thats going to the left. You should thin it down a bit. The muzzle goes in too much, causing it to look like the part where the nose is, is too large. Other than that, I really do like the picture.

(Im guessing its either a Border Collie or Shetland Sheepdog..?)

I see about the ear. I was having problems with it. I thought the muzzle was ok, I guess it is a little big. She is a puppy so her head is a weird proportion. Oh and yes you guessed the right breed. That makes me very happy. This one is a bc.

Ah, thats too bad. I might have figured it out. There are three brush settings: Transparent Red Spray Paint, Paint Brush Oval 45 Pixels Multiply and Airbrush Soft Round 50% Flow. If yours is on the second one, switch it to the third.

Yes I use a tablet but I tried with the pressure sensitivity on and off.

I haven't been able to use my program in weeks.

I think it's because your brush fades? maybe thats why it looks all weird. Just try using a 3px round brush? I used to have elements 3.0 I just forgot how to use it. xD

That brush is solid.

It shows it is solid when I choose it but then it fades.

If you are working with layers, delete the current layer that you are working on. Then put the brush on the setting that you wish. Create the layer once again afterwards. That usually works on Photoshop 7.0 :P
