• Often dogs that do not get enough exercise and stimulation during the day will have nightmares.

 • My dog goes out side whenshe wants to, she just goes to the door and we open it for her, then when she comes in she closes the door, we taught her to

I think my dog has dreams of chasing cows, or evil flying rabbits

 • Do you live in the country or do you just have a fenced backyard tuffgirl?
If dogs do not get daily walks of 1 hour +, often they don't get enough stimulation. Of course if you have many square kilometres, the dog can live comfortably, but a fenced backyard just lets them pee and poo, not get the stimulation

I admit, my dog does not always get the hour+ walk a day, but pretty close to it, and many days she gets more. Not accusing you of depriving your dog of stimulation, just pointing out that it might be a possibility.

My dogs has dreams when she is in the house most of the day.
