• What breed is he? I just ask because deep chested dogs, such as boxers, greyhounds etc are more prone to having problems with anasthetic. BUT. There is a milder form that can be used. It is more expensive but they come out of the anasthetic quicker lessening the chances of problems. I use it for ALL my animals if they need anything doing. (By the way, this is in England, so I don't know if America or any other country will have it or the price. I would assume that all countries have it available)

 • No this is in England also.
He's a Spoodle (S.Poodle x Spaniel).
He's having some form of anaesthetic that is ment to be better for him, due to his very bad reaction with it.

Oh and this is expensive, very.
But worth every penny of it.
 • =o
My 5 year old Rottie girl has had it done to her, but not just one, but both back legs =( and, a disc in her neck has been taken out. She's been through the wars, and still has something wrong with her ear!

She had them both done at different times, of course, and it was quite very painful for her. She screamed for minutes at a time, and still now, like 9 months after her last, she still goes no-where near stairs, and we're still building her walks back up.

Just comfort him, and be extra careful not to cause any damage to his leg. My dog is almost back to normal now, but we are still extra cautious, and it is most often the case, that when one has gone, the other will go, and as I can see, this definately the case with my Rott.

Good Luck with him and all. :)
