Howdy all

As part of the Orbis World Newletter, we're going to be featuring a player of the month from every Orbis game. The way we do this, is you fill out the following form with as much information as possible about the person you are nominating. Remember, not everyone knows the person you are nominating as well as you do. Next, PM it to me. DO NOT POST IT HERE! A winner will be picked from a group of anonymous judges who frequent this game. Nominations Player Name: Gorse and Happle [aka Horse] Why do you feel this person deserves to be chosen? I think that Horse should be chosen as player of the month because she is a great friend and is very helpful. She has helped me out in the past a lot and I think she is a very amazing and nice person. She is very helpful, and I really think that she should be picked. Please provide examples of how this person has helped you or someone else: Horse lets her friends use her training kennel and bought one for me, her, and a couple other friends to share. She is a very helpful person. I really think she should be picked. Any additional information that you think is important to know: She goes on chat as Horse mostly. :] Additional support: Why do you feel this person deserves to be chosen? Horse(gorse) deserves it cause she's there when you need her, she can give you great advice when your down and knows how to make your worries poof. Please provide examples of how this person has helped you or someone else: A while back i was down and just not myself and i didnt wanna talk to anyone but gorse and after i did i just felt alot better Any additional information that you think is important to know: Words cant really descridbe gorse but i did my best.

Player Name: Jasper Why do you feel this person deserves to be chosen? Jasper has always been there while I've played VP. Not literally, of course. But she's been honest for the four years I've known her from VP. She has never hurt me besides when she's offline when I'm online all the time, in other words we keep missing each other because of our times. She's just an honest player who I feel goes out of her way to be kind to everyone. I've never seen her mad at someone publically(we of course rant to each other through messages, if needed) Please provide examples of how this person has helped you or someone else: For one thing, she's helped me SO much with my art! I've improved so much lately with her helping me. She collabs with me, which I consider help as she's so much better than me, and her lines are something I can play with to improve. She also has helped me with getting over the Auzzy incident(not completely there yet though). I don't want to go int detail on it, but she was such a great friend to me. I also had to call on her again when my rabbit started losing weight and not eating. As it wasn't as obvious to the ignorant eye, my parents would not allow me to get him to a vet unless he looked worse. Which I wasn't waiting for. So I called on Jasper, who is a rabbit breeder. And Andi(my rabbit), with her advice, gained weight back in no time. Any additional information that you think is important to know: N/A

Player Name: A-sap Why do you feel this person deserves to be chosen? A-sap is a wonderfull person who is always trying to do something to make vp better. She is caring and will listen to anyone that needs someone to talk to. She tries to improve as many breeds as she can as well as numerous projects. Please provide examples of how this person has helped you or someone else: A-sap is always willing to donate money to anyone who needs help. she has given me over 100 million when i needed some help. She buys gifts for people and is always willing to answer questions. She helps with as many projects and she can and will listen to anyone who needs help. Any additional information that you think is important to know: A-Sap is a great person and i believe she is most deserving for the award.

Player Name: Karissa Why do you feel this person deserves to be chosen? Please provide examples of how this person has helped you or someone else: Basically, she's amazing at art and so, so nice. She's always friendly, has very reasonable prices, and doesn't get mad when you take a long time to train [and I know this from experience xD]. Her banners and art are simply gorgeous, but she is always modest & accepts compliments without bragging. She's quick to compliment other people's arts & banners, even if they're nowhere near as pretty as hers. Any additional information that you think is important to know: Karissa has been playing VP for a very long time, and has some of the best Anatolian Shepherds on VP. Additional support: Why do you feel this person deserves to be chosen? She is always very kind and forgiving. There isn't one time when I have seen her get angry at anyone. Karissa is one of the clamest poeple on Virtualpups that I have talked to. She is extremly thoughtful and caring, but is modest and humble. I have never seen her brag about her work, and she is always ready to accept critiques to improve her artwork, even if it is already awsome! It makes me feel good that someone like this is on Virtualpups. Please provide examples of how this person has helped you or someone else: I have seen Karissa help out many other artists, and stay humble even when told her work is better than others. I like how she can also have the ability to make others feel that thier work is wonderful as well as her own. She doesn't want anyone to feel left out. Any additional information that you think is important to know: n/a

Player Name: Smartah/Illume/SCWT345 Why do you feel this person deserves to be chosen?: Because she's awesome. I still remember her from the first few days I started playing the game. I was searching for dogs and ways to make money and a few players helped but Smartah was the one I kinda leaned on most. I had a million and a half of questions with showing and she's pretty much answered every single one for me. Please provide examples of how this person has helped you or someone else: I still, from time to time, bounce opinions and questions off of her. She's been a great competitor in the show ring and an even better buddy outside of it. Even with all the years under my belt, I still have questions and its always nice to lean back and find someone right there to answer them for me. Any additional information that you think is important to know: Her dogs p00n in the show ring. Lol just a warning.

Player name: Dreamland Why do you feel this person deserves to be chosen? They are a great friend Who is a respectable and well known player and a great contributer to the VP Community. Please provide examples of how this person has helped you or someone else: Dreamy Has Helped me several times when it comes to this game and some others. Dreamy has taught me how to color and also given me some great advice (and layout suggestions). She helps me solve my prolems and I can always count on her. Any additional information that you think is important to know: Not Really

Player Name: Zoe Why do you feel this person deserves to be chosen?: She's a great friend and has really done well on the game. She's got several 10x4 breeds, offers great studs of several breeds, and is an all around very helpful person. Please provide examples of how this person has helped you or someone else: Zoe has offered affordable studs of cheap prices that were trained to me, she's let me train for her when nobody else would, she's fixed many of my ticket issues sent in to OW. Any additional information that you think is important to know: um, she's cool and amazing. ;D

Player Name: lolo (from the forums) Why do you feel this person deserves to be chosen? Well... lolo is not only a great friend, but also a helpful, fun player on VP. She is never angry, and is always willing to lend a hand to those who need help. Please provide examples of how this person has helped you or someone else: Well, she is always giving kind comments to those who are troubled (vent section), and is great with newbies. She helped me figure out how to make my banners switch between themselves, and she is so much fun. Any additional information that you think is important to know: You can count on lolo to give you a laugh.

Player Name: Ru Why do you feel this person deserves to be chosen? Does a great job moderating chat and is an awesome friend. Please provide examples of how this person has helped you or someone else: Whenever new players join chat, she is the first to explain aspects of the game to them. Is always prepared to listen and help anyone out to the best of her ability. Any additional information that you think is important to know: Nope Additional Support: Why do you feel this person deserves to be chosen? She's a real help in game, and out of it. She's kind, and she cares about just about everyone, from what I've seen. She's helped me many many times to cope with situations in my life, even while dealing with her own. She's selfless and forgiving, and she's also patient, and calm when it's needed. All in all, she's one of the most amazing people I know of. In game, she also does amazing things. She motivated many people to stand up and do something on the game, be it sort through badly statted dogs to lower numbers, or to train their dogs before breeding. Please provide examples of how this person has helped you or someone else: I tend to have problem upon problem upon problem with my boyfriend. Every time I've needed to rant to someone, she's been there, someone to lean on. She's listened, heard me out, and then given me advice. She's compared my situations to what she's gone through, and has told me time and time again what will happen, and what I should do with it, even if I never listen the first, second, or even third time. Any additional information that you think is important to know: Motivated VP into decreasing the numbers of mutts.

There's a separate one for ops. The Op one will be decided out of all the ops on Orbis Games. This was decided at the newsletter meeting (correct me if something has changed since then).

This is correct. Ops will be chosen from all the games, since many don't frequent the same games as Ops.

What Bama meant to say, is the a player from every Orbis game will be picked as player of the month. Ops will be picked by other Ops, as most of us play multiple games

Ok, nominations updated

I've had some questions PMed to me, so I thought I'ld write them here for all to see. Can we nominate more than one player? At this point of time, I've decided you can only nominate one player at a time. Only one VPian will be selected as PotM for August . . . there's no reason you can't nominate someone else for September

When will nominations close? I'll pick a date when I get home and can have a look at my calender

Ok, after having a talk with Bama and others who are helping with the newsletter, we've decided you can nominate Ops as player of the month. If you wish to nominate an Op to be player of the month, please ignore the fact they are an Op and focus on them as a player. Okies? Wicked xD

So basically focus on how kind they are and/or how they've helped you? And not how they've helped you for things like.. banning a player, but how nice and kind they were while doing it? hahaha. I get it now xD

Focus on them as a player of the game, not for anything they can do as an op. Like, how well they breed, show, how helpful they are, how well they train, things like that.
