ah ok you want to duplicate the layer behind the orange then, dye it orange, and erase all of the stuff that aint bellow the markings, so it really comes of as belonging there and not laying above the rest, because just spraying a color over another makes it seem when transparent like the lines and effects are black, instead of either blue or orange shading (originaly blue, should be orange after puting on the marking)
Thank you. =] I'll keep it in mind next time. And once again! Thanks for all you extremely helpful advice!

Haha. Sure Zag. Just message me with whatever you'd like. =D Thanks!
so little, when i have more time i migth sit down and study your work a little more to see if i cant pick up some ideas on how to progress, your far ahead of me artist wise *s*
Aw! Thanks! What I really am looking for is a mistake that's repeating itself.. I know there's got to be something.. My eyes and ears are awful most times for instance. So if anyone can pick up on something for me? =D
ok took a second look after you pointed out, from what i can see you already improved on the eyes, the giftie for the contest on page 5, and the b.day dog on page 6, on those two you managed to make complex eyes that you can see has life in them, its all in the little details

i am working on eyes myself atm, and experimenting with different ways, as well as taking some tips from a friend of mine who got it down
I have the hardest time with dog heads. I lovelovelove doing legs and paws though. They're extremely fun. Thanks! I'll try to keep playing with the eyes and such. =3

http://i34.tinypic.com/ixbhu8.png

WIP of a new character based on my dog.
I'm pretty happy with the sketch.. The chest and collar bug me, but I'll fix those later. =3 There are a few things bugging me with the lining.. But I'll get it fixed.. maybe.
when i did draw, the face was what i started with, and while time taking in one way the easiest, geting those legs just right take a few times practise before becoming piece of cake *s*

i like the pic so far, posible make the collar a little slimer, the most normal error i see on collars is oversizing them compared to the dogs neck so it covers most or all of it, not the case here, but it may look better if thiner, you can always use layers to experiment what is best
Yeah, her collar is pretty thick. Probably not as thick as I drew it, as you pointed out. But you can hardly see her collar with all her fur covering it, luckily(I'm horrible at accessories!) so I'll play with the collar. =3 Thanks for pointing that out.

Heads have always been hard for me. I can only remember being mad at paws for like a month.. But that was when I didn't draw much..
yes so i cna make it my banner on here=]

casue i love your work=] message me

Sure.. I'm game for making a banner. =3 I was hoping to do Zag's tomorrow. So if you want one, just message me with the size, colors, breeds and whatnot.
All Dreamy's art is so prettyful!

Secret wished she had talent like that...
I was showing my friend your progess on this latest lineart. She really wants to know how you do it! Well, I do too. She wanted me to ask you how you got your lines so straight. She said you are really, really talented.
Awww! Tell her thank you. <33
I use the pen tool. It's really simple and quite fun when you get the hang of it. I believe gimp has one that's very similar to photoshops. =3
it shouldnt be taking hours to line it, in gimp using the lining tool its done fairly quickly...and while i always think it takes longer then i like, i never used hours lining something
I know. =] It was the beard. I kept undoing it. It took much longer than normal. Since it's my own dog, I wanted it to look like her. Normally it takes a max of 15 minutes.
