Monthly Training competition?

Eh...all these train offs got me thinking..sorry if anyone's thought of this before..haven't seen it if you did. But, what if VP actually had an official train-off every month, people pay so much to enter, a different breed every month...Top winning trainers could be listed... Not exactly sure how it'd be judged though, and I'm sure non-training sponsers would want to participate too, maybe divisions for non-training kennels/novices too? Don't know..just a random idea..back to training..

Well actually Casper did one like this and I have been thinking about using my club to do it but not really sure if I want to fund it all

so the entry fee would be a good idea.

Yeah, an entry fee could help cover the costs of prizes and such...hrm..

Hmm.... I'd do it. Just because it'd eventually mean someone would eventually get down into the G's and K's and have to train German Pinschers and Keeshonden, and I've got plenty to supply to that cause. lol But that aside, I'd like to test myself against some of the better breeders/trainers of a particular breed here. Since I'd have some control over the outcome, instead of hoping the coding of the computer picks my dogs, like I do with events. It'd be fun, I think.

Wasn't this was the Tournament Of Champions section was sopposed to be for? i like the idea of monthly competitions

I thought the tournament was only for dogs not trainers?

It was, and then we got that training fix, so we all decided to run back and retrain our dogs... and then we noticed that "Hey! I'm getting great star bonuses now!" and we're still in that phase. Once everything finally settles down, and all the breeds have a few 4x stars to their collective names then the ToC will really get back underway. That's just my opinon on it though.
