I've been thinking -a lot- about 9/11, and the more I think about it, the more Im willing to join the army. But, not only that, Im the type who fights a smile every time I get in trouble. And I want to become a vet, because millions of animals are thrown out to the streets, killed, or abused every year. Plus, I cant stand to see an animal suffer. Im entirely confused. I want to be there for my country, but I want to be there for the animals. (if this isnt allowed, feel free to delete)

you could always do both like be in the army reserves and still go to vet school and become a vet and if they need you in the reserves to go on tour ect.. you can

please don't flame me I watched a segment on TV (I know, don't always believe it) but they were saying that to be able to be in control of a country, use fear. And they said that the planes hit, but explosions occurred around the building and that a plane would not destroy a building that was built like that, in a matter of seconds. same with the plane that hit the pentagon. there was no trace of a so called plane. In other words they say the government was behind it I don't really know what to believe but I would rather stay here then fight in a war that i believe is sorta pointless once again, just saying my too-bits, no flames

But see, its just irritating. I would like to join the army, or the navy or something, as I belive I have the endurance, but I would also like to be a vet. But, for the army, it would be easyer to just go right out of highschool. But, I would also like to be the first person in my family to actually get out of collage doing something I like. Dx

Go for the animals. They are more important in my mind. Your country would not be a country without the animals. The animals could be animals without your country though xD Be a vet.

well to join the army... you will have to be in TIP TOP shape as in jogging ten miles or more a day, being able to do tons of push ups, sit ups yadda yadda yadda, and its not like the movies.. nothing like it... you would maybe come out traumatized, injured, dead, or maybe if your lucky (or if you believe in God) God was protecting you you might come out fine, but you would be stuck with the memories, if you can't handle watching an animal suffer, try imagining a friend or even a stranger suffering and screaming after stepping on a land mine, or getting gunned down (I know that is gory and disturbing) but if an animal in pain puts you in pain then a person in pain would be 10 times worse, It would be noble, and you would be serving your country, but you couldn't have a family, you couldn't have animals (unless you had people to take care of them while you are gone) and you would never know if you would make it back home again, just chew on that a little, you should prolly choose vet

not quite so disturbing and it isn't life threatening if this was to disturbing or something ops feel free to delete =]

Not necissarily. My brother agrees with me that it makes both of us hurt more to see an animal in pain than it does to see a human in pain.

Why not join the army. Put in a couple years then you can go to school and have it payed for by being in the army. ;] Also if you stay active duty for 40 years you can retire. I just had an uncle who is a marine retire. And to join the army you don't have to be in tip top shape. You need to be in good physical shape. They will work your butt into awesome shape. xD And kudos to you for wanting to fight for your country. To many people nowadays could care less. I would have loved to join a branch of military but sadly I couldn't because of having a c-section and I couldn't have left my daughter for so long.

I don't know, because last year on Halloween a dog attacked my friend's little siblings while they were trick-or-treating...and instead of ordering the dog to be put down, the state siezed him and donated him to the army. This is all according to my friend.

Huh. And about the whole thing with saying the goverments behind this blah blah blah. I bet you that a liberals behind that. I sat there, and SAW the planes fly into the towers. Its all over a website.

I saw the planes hit on TV the day it happened. I remember how scary it was...mom and dad pulled me out of school that day, so many parents took their kids home, everyone was scared and confused...I didn't know what was going on until I got home and they turned on the news. I was scared to death, I was only 10-ish at the time.

on that day, all the fighter planes were out practicing the same type of scenario as planes hitting a building. It was really sad. I sort of remember that day, not much though.

Yes, but I am a loyal person. (To some). Its still debating. I would like to be a vet But I would like to join the army. I would LIKE to have what it takes to be a solider.
