The information on what to look for around the vent area without probing or popping? That's what first alerted me to Moeru's true gender. Poor guy. Being called a girl for two years...his breeder probably didn't probe or pop properly.
I didn't get him from a store, I've only bought one snake from a store and that was my first and last time. Moeru came from a breeder Petstores overprice their animals and usually get them from breeding mills. I don't trust petstores to provide me with a healthy, well cared for animal.
Skizzy was a PetCo lizard. Soon after we got him his tail started to crack. So of course vet bills for that. His tail ended up dropping. Vet gave me meds for him. I was so sad though that we didn't get to measure him with a full tail. What surprised me was his tail is started to grow back. I have read everywhere that when a water dragon tail falls off they don't grow them back. But its growing very slowly. xD
I love reptiles

Snakes especially. Really wanted one, too. Saved up the money, researched my little butt off, found a reputable breeder, estimated costs/upkeep, and got turned down by my mother. She just "didn't want a snake in her house."

Grrrr...

I plan on being an Exotic Animal Veterinarian, however. Possibly specialize in Herpetology, but we'll see
I convinced My mom I needed a corn snake for my birthday.
Which has come and gone. But We're going to order a tank because I told her about the style I wanted and we can't find it (If my mom is anything, she's a shopper) and I've researched them.

You're snakes are so pretty, I can't wait to get one of my own!

[I would never buy anything/take any advice from Petsmart. the Workers told me the snakes where kept in cedar and I was like "That's poisonous..." It was aspen. What morons.]
That sucks, Cobalt Maybe when you move out, you can get one?

I hope you get it soon Foolish! Corns are the best! Thank you ^^ I'm sure your's will be beautiful!
I want a snake, too But my mom already has/will say no, because she is disgusted by snakes; reptiles in general. >>;

I hope to be a vet, too But like an all-animal kind of veterinarian.

I hope I can convince my mom that snakes are cool animals, and if I can get a pretty corn snake

Yes, I plan on it. Although most colleges require you to spend freshman year in their dorms, I'll most likely get one as soon as I have a stable, pet-allowing place to live. I hope to move into an apartment near campus that allows pets, but we'll see. I have a little over $400 saved up, though. I hope to get a little more in case of any emergency vet trips, and then I'll just hang on to that money until I can get a corn. My favorite morphs are Blizzard and Sunglow
Good luck Bluey!

Moeru is a Sunglow Blizzards are beautiful, I wanted one, but mom said it was too plain. But man...a pure white snake. They're so pretty ^^
I've never heard of colleges requiring people to spend freshman year in their dorms 0o that's bizarre.

Really? I thought most colleges required that. Most of them in Oklahoma, do, anyway. OU (Oklahoma University) which is in my hometown and is quite close, does not, however. I'd like to get my four-year degree there, but my mother's trying to convince me I should stay in the dorms at least one year to get a "taste of college life."

Frankly, I've stayed in those dorms before for a summer camp, and they're about the crappiest dorms I've found at any of the colleges I've been to. There's hardly enough living space for 1 person, let alone 4. We'll see, though.

[/rant]
I have a book that just has an entire section on colors in the back.
I like really bright colors. I like all of them, but Orange and yellow happen to be two of my favorite colors.
Which isn't saying much because I love the entire color spectrum.
Except The "Calico" Snakes. Those are Wierddd
But anyway.
I'm going to get the palest thing I can find, unless I can get a bright Yellow/orange snake.
Sunglow is bright red and orange with some yellow, white belly, red eyes. SOME white around the red is okay, but not a lot. Moeru is Sunglow. Is that the kind of color you like? It sounds like you might like Butter too. They're yellow.

I love butters. and Sunglow. And Albino Okeetees.
and there's one in the book I have called a Creamsicle Motley.
Most of the ones in my book are like, super weird.
But I'm pretty sureI'm going to end up with a super pale snake.
We'll Match. =]
If I get another corn anytime soon, I'll be looking for a butter.

Creamsicles are so beautiful! They must look stunning with the motley pattern!

It's amazing! If the book weren't copyrighted I'd scan it for you.
sure I'll post some when I get home from work XD I'm selling a lot of them though since the economy is so bad, I'm not selling enough to help with my food bill
I've never had any ball python's, as long as I live with my mom and dad, nothing too much bigger then a corn snake or water moniter

I've always wanted a piebald ball python too Zoe
I want a snake like there is no tommorow, and mom and dad are like "HELL no"
