There Zoe...us reptile lovers now have our own thread XD

Anyone who loves/owns reptiles can talk about them and post pictures of their babies here I'll be gathering up pictures of mine in a few minutes ^^
We have a leash for Skizzy and he is currently getting used to be outside. He was scared when I first took him out. He is liking it now.

Lets see anything else.

We go thru about 150 crickets every week. I successfully bred them and had a bunch of babies, but while I was gone on vacation the babies died.
Luckily our bait shop sells 150 for 5.47. xD Cause if I had to run all the way to the pet store I would be spenind so much in food/gas.
Skizzy is so cute! He has such a nice looking setup, too My beardies have harnesses/leashes, but the dern things won't clip for some reason 0o

I LOVE that 2nd gecko! I wish Chibi had lived ;-;

We breed our own crickets for all the lizards and occasionally buy a cockroach (only for the beardies) or some mealworms as treats. We buy frozen mice for Moeru in sets of 200...none of my friends will open our freezer they make me do it for them. The turtles are fed floating turtle stick food things, and crickets/earthworms as treats
Figured I better add information about housing for my guys..right? XP

Moeru is in a 29 gallon right now, they only need 20 gallon...but this 29 gallon seems so small for him. I'll probably get him a bigger one eventually. He has some fake plants in, but not enough in my opinion. Another reason I want a bigger tank for him...more room for him, and a couple more decorative artificial plants.

My beardies are in homemade cages, dunno how big they are XP

Turtles are outside in a huge tub thing, but come inside during the winter and are kept in 10 gallon tanks (they go into partial hibernation so they don't need a lot of room during the winter...they just sit there most of the time and only move to come get food :P plus, they're very small for painted turtles 0o)

Godzilla is in a 10 gallon right now, he needs a 20 gallon but I'm having a hard time convincing mom and dad of that >> They say he's fine. He needs something bigger...and its not like I don't have the room for a 20 gallon for him. *sigh*

I think I know what my Christmas list will be this year...XP

lol Genders are unknown as of now, I am trying to find a reptile vet/breeder that acually know what they are doing

The colors are a classic and the other is a reverse okeetee.

The classic is just over 5'2, his name is Husk

My okeetee is just a little baby, less then 12 inches, it's name is Hannibal

I should be getting another very soon, (as soon as my mom gets a job, so she can pay me back)

I love Husk, I've had him for about 5 years, I think. Awesome personality, very sweet and calm, and just a great boy (I just call him that) Hannible is a little shy, as we've had her (just what I call it) for less then a month, but should come out and be herself after a little longer with me.
I'm not allowed to get any more snakes due to having 3 die on us...they came to us sick though, as it turns out. Songo and Mozart's breeder has a RI epidemic in their stock so they both came to us with RIs and died from them. Umbreon was sick from the start and we were in constant contact with Petco's vet, he said there was no need to bring her in because there were home-remedies...none of them worked and she died anyway

Moeru is almost 3. Turns 3 in July I've had him since he was a 14 inch punything. Now he's...um. At -least- 3 feet. We haven't measured him in awhile :P He's such a sweet baby. And a glutton, thankfully. The other 2's RIs caused them to go anorexic (according to the breeder, who is also a vet tech) and that combined with the RI killed them. Moeru's never skipped a meal in his life :P

Do you have any pics of Husk and Hannibal?
Aww, I'm sorry to hear that. Many of my rescue's have/get that, it's real hard to fix/help, even force feeding wouldn't help some of them I have only saved 2 from that, one of which I still own, as it will probably have to be hand feed the rest of it's life, Repti-aid with mealies/crickets well mixed together (for my leo's) I had a beardie I tried to rehabilitate, but it was too far gone, and died on the way home

Moeru is beautiful Sounds like a great boy.

I'll try to get some pictures up, but the camera is being kinda weird, i'll try though
It sucks, doesn't it? I thought maybe if I asked to buy a snake already at least 1 year old, I might avoid it. But I guess that wouldn't make much of a difference.

Thank you ^^ Everytime a new person sees him, they ask if he's venomous because of how bright his colors are. Funny story, for the first 2 years that we had him, we thought he was a girl. His breeder told us he was a girl. I brought him with me when I was getting Songo as proof that we take good care of our snakes, they probed him for me for free. And guess what? Its a boy :P I'm hoping to do a photoshoot with him this weekend, if the weather is nice...we've had thunderstorms everyday this week

I hope you get your camera working I love seeing pictures of peoples' snakes ^^
I've had horrid weather too, makes all the reptiles get all hyper it seems

I really dislike people who are so ignorant that they will kill any snake (round here at least) that they think is a copperhead
Ugh, I agree. Here, we don't have any venomous snakes (rumor has it, timber rattlers live here, but none have been reported in a long time), but that doesn't stop people from killing every snake they see. Its a sad thing. How would you like to be minding your own business, enjoying the sun, when all of a sudden some giant monster comes and kills you?

Its crazy! Moeru's been so much more active since summer started. He was sluggish in the winter (understandable) and spring..and now he's like...poof! All over the place X3
I raised some regular snappers for a few weeks from hatchlings. We let them go in the pond we found them at, once their shells were harder so they'd have more of a chance. They were sweet little babies, some of them even liked to be petted ^^
