Great Dane. Horse or dog?

Seriously. I know they are dogs. BUT to some of us not-so-tall people It's a horse. Great Dane Stats Height 30-36 inches (around 3 feet) (76-86 cm) Weight 100-130lbs (45-59 kg) [or more] Small Horse Stats These stats are based off a Shetland Pony Height 28-42 inches Weight 400lbs Ok. Their weights are way different. But Height! So, some great danes, are taller than ponies! So, great dane. Horse or dog? Note: I have nothing against great danes. I love them to death :] I'm getting one when I get older xD

Both. :P They're very much a dog...yet I used to ride our Great Dane that we used to have around the house like a horse. A dog the size of a horse? But they really are gentle giants. Mom used to leave me alone in the room with Brutis when I was a baby. I weighed 3 lbs, 1/4oz when I was born, and she'd let this huge Great Dane stay with me alone. He'd guard me with his life. Yeah, great danes are one of the most gentle dogs xD I dunno why exactly, but they are great family dogs. The people I babysit, they have a 2yearold son, and they have 2 great danes And they had the danes when their son was a baby And even when their son like pulls on them, They never bite

xD Neither. They're tiny, antler-less moose. =o I knew a great dane named Pixie. Pixie duh Moose. xD She went as Moocifer for Halloween, and loved to sit on your lap. >_>

they are gentle but are very protective one of my moms breeding partners also breeds danes and I was playing with one of the puppies and one of there danes was watching me. I wore the puppy out and it did that grr I'm tired thing and I went to pat the puppy on his head and the dane nipped me. I still love danes though I told my mom we should leave all the wheaties but meg faith and karma and trade for a dane she said no

They are most definitely dogs.. the best dogs EVER. :P I have a 2yr old Great Dane named Laredo and he is my best friend. He's on the small side for a Dane but REALLY tall. He weighs about 115lbs and is around 36" at the shoulder. His best friend is a kitten, and he is soo gentle with them.. sleeps with them every night. Most Great Danes are REALLY protective. Anytime someone Laredo doesn't know comes over, he will sit right in my lap so that the person can't get to me, LOL. He's so sweet, he loves to cuddle, loves to play, and if he's not right next to me he's trying to get right next to me. :P They're such a silly breed. I honestly think Great Danes think they're human. They sit on couches just like a human does. Butt on the couch, feet in the floor. :P They aren't really that great for first time dog owners since they are a generally a very un-healthy breed. They need a lot of attention, a lot of food, they have very special needs, vet bills are higher because of their size, they need a big yard, a very dominant human, and they can become very agressive if not socialized right at a young age. If you take care of them properly and train them properly they're great dogs though.

We have cats, Roscoe tries to eat them. But with the rat dog nextdoor witch I wish he would eat, he's fine. Grr. xD On Sunday, when I hurt my leg, he layed beside me on the lounge couch outside while my mom called the doctor to make an appointment. Soo loving.

Rofl! I love you Darky. xD My neighbors have a Dane/Lab cross named Trixie, she didn't get all the Dane height, but she did get most of it. O_o I wouldn't be suprised if Sam (my boxer/lab) out weighs her though, she's such a fatty. xP
