Being the insanely intelligent and graceful person I am, I washed my cell phone the other day and it stopped working. I went to the US Cellular store and they told me some of their prices. My contract isn't even close to being up yet, so everything's expensive. The crappiest, ugliest, trashiest new phone is $160. Used, it is $80. Arrgh!

I don't see the point of cell phones, personally. If I need to call someone, we have a house phone. If they need to talk to me and I'm gone, we have an answering machine, and I'll call them back when I get home. *shrug*

Eh, I'd have to pay for insurance myself. I'm usually pretty careful with my phone. I hate Razrs, though, they break really easily.

Like everyone in my class has one. It bugs me. They always ask, "Hey, what's your number?... oh yeah, you don't have a cell phone." gggrrr. I don't even need one. Everyone knows my home number. And, if it is REALLY important, than they know my mom's as well. I would only need one when I am 16 and driving places so people know where I am and if I get hurt I have a phone for 911. So, yeah. I don't see the point of a cellphone at the age I am.

Yeah, I walk all over town and I'm home alone all the time, though, and my mom's paranoid I'm gonna get abducted or something. So voila, I got a cell phone. Good news! There are some nicer, cheaper phones on Ebay and I think I'm gonna go with one of them. Go me!

I'm older than 16 and I'm not even allowed to cross the road or walk in a parking lot without one of my parents (not even kidding), so needless to say, I'm never alone anywhere. :roll: I wish they'd let go.

XD I've had a phone since 3rd grade.. my mom is paranoid I'll get lost :shock: So yep. I got a phone in 3rd grade.. xD I got the Voyager as a gift. I'll never leave my phone at home it's like my 2nd mom. xD

I have a Pantech C3. Got it for $20 at At&t.com lol. I use prepaid because about all i do is text. so for $20 a month i have unlimited texting! hehehe So yeah thats just what works for me...

O.O How...do you wash a cell phone? XD My own's the simplest thing in the world and nothing to brag about. I've dropped it so many times I'm surprised it still works but eh, it gets the job done. It's a shame it's no where near as lustrously red as it used to be though... perhaps "I" should go on eBay! x3

haha ive done that to my nextel.. but those are the tough phones and it didnt break.. the speakers just became hard to hear out of i also ran over it when it was open :D but ive been through like 7 phones in 3 years now i have an LG venus.. and its really cool so im super careful with it

Well, I'm usually pretty careful. That time, I was washing clothes and I threw a pair of my pants into the washer. I heard a *ka-chunk* and grabbed the pants out as quickly as I could. I grabbed the phone out of the pocket and opened it up to let it dry for 24 hours, but it was ruined. It was only in the water for like, 30 seconds. *mumbles* Crappy phones. Don't ever get a Razr, my fellow VPians. They suck >.<

XD I actually cracked the screen on mine when I first got it by dropping it two feet onto a carpet floor while it was open :roll: I rest my case. But I'm superduper excited about this new phone! I would post a link but I'll get in trouble ^.^

I've had a phone for about 4 years now? But I don't have a home phone because no one ever used it/ called it. I used to have a blackberry but I used to have an ultrasmall purse And my sharpie cracked the screen. So I've been using my Mom's old camera phone. Good luck with your new phone. I hope it has no unfortunate accidents.

I've never washed my phone x3 I always clear my pockets before I throw my stuff in the laundry. I can't really figure out how people do that XD I always have my phone with me, if I don't I feel bare. XD It's not that I'm all "OMG-TEXTTEXTTEXT-" It's just I like having it just in cause. x3

I've never used Ebay before this, but it was pretty cool. And there are things for cheap ^.^ I had to bid on the same type of cell phone 3 times, though, as the first two I was outbid at the last second, and my reflexes are a tad slow...Ah, well. 3rd time's the charm!

I know what you mean about the bidding...I'm only allowed to do Buy It Nows now XD Cause I ended up spending $20 on 1 1.5 inch Pokemon figure without realizing how much I was bidding...it sucks when you get outbid too. I've gotten heartbroken several times being outbid ;-;
