What do these phrases mean?
<span style="font-size:75">Seriously, what do these phrases mean? I mean literally (yes, i know what people mean when they say em, but wouldn't they mean something else?)<br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Shut your hole</span><br>First off, I know this means shut your mouth. But why your hole? They aren't very specific. They could also mean your nose holes ![:\](/forum/resources/emoji/confused.png ":\")
Then you can't breathe if you shut up your nose holes & your mouth. So, are they telling you "go die"? Because that's what it sounds like to me.<br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Where the sun don't shine</span><br>Where exactly is this? I've been to many places, but where? The only possible place is a room with no windows, or Hades. So, are they telling you to go to hell, but it's just a phrase people use not to get in trouble? What's the deal with that?<br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Shut don't go up, it goes down</span><br><span style="font-weight:bold">When you are referring to robots!</span> But my gosh, they are talking about <span style="font-weight:bold">you</span> as a <span style="font-weight:bold">human</span> So, it doesn't matter which way shut it going, because it isn't happening to you, now is it?<br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">I know you are but what am I?</span><br>Well, if you don't know the answer to that, then no one else is surely going to know, are they?<br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">You're not the boss of me!</span><br>Doesn't matter, if they told you what to do, do it. If not, *whack thwack ka-boom*<br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Shut the hell up</span><br>If shut doesn't go up, and hell's already down, where are you supposed to go? <br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">How much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?</span><br>Here's a better question for you:<br>Who cares?<br>If he doesn't chuck wood, does it matter to us how much he could chuck if he did chuck but since he doesn't chuck, why would it matter?<br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Stuck between a rock and a hard place</span><br>Hm. What if you are stuck between 2 rocks, which is which? And why can't you just move the rock?<br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">If a tree falls in the woods, no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?</span><br>What about the bugs? Do they hear? Do they have ears? Or is this tree in a totally different location away from all living things. But yet, doesn't the tree live? Why does the tree fall down? I NEED ANSWERS<br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Kiss my butt</span><br>Why? Why go there? Why would you want someone's lip upon your hideous butt? That is your own personal property. How would the world look if everyone went around kissing other people's butts?<br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Mind your P's and Q's</span><br>Why those letters? What do they mean? What happens when too many people focus on those letters and they go on strike? That's why I'm sticking to my S's and T's.<br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Right on</span><br>Right on what? Right on the dot, the money?
