One of Meg's puppies may be getting put down, but there's time for my Aunt (who owns him) to change her mind, because no non emergancy vet is open today or tomarrow,so please pray they dont put him down. Biggest reason I am sad is he is Megs only son i get to see, i get to see two of her daughters everyday, but it just feels like :(.

  • that is sad if its the kids fault he shouldn't be put to sleep I was bit a while ago but that was cause the dog was very aggressive but then my best friends dog bit a guy but thats cause he was tormenting it and the dog got annoyed and bit him. They wanted to put her dog to sleep but they fought it and they didn't have to put it to sleep they just had to put Beware of Dog sings out in there yard and on the door.
  • Has he ever bitten anyone else? How old is he?

An alternative to putting an aggressive dog to sleep is to get their canines filed so they aren't sharp. They don't need them to be sharp to eat, since they're domestic and are being fed dogfood, and the bite(s) wouldn't do nearly as much damage :3 He may just need training too. But I don't know this dog's exact situation, so its hard to 'perscribe' anything. :/ I hope it all works out.
    Bye.
  • Are they looking for an e-vet so that he can be put down or are they looking for a vet to see if there is something medically wrong with the dog? That should always be done first when a dog turns aggressive, there could be a underlying medical issue that is causing the dog to act out.

I hope your aunt doesn't have to put him down.

  • Like Eagles said, we talked to many different vets about whether he seemed.. odd after the Auzzy-biting-me thing. I didn't provoke him, so it made no sense. Obviously, they couldn't find anything from the normal exam, and we simply couldn't afford to do a bunch of expensive tests to see if there was something wrong with him in that case. If we KNEW he was mentally sick, that's different.

I wish you luck. How old is he?
