Curiosity sucks...

Okay...so...<br><br>I'm in my parents' room. On their dresser, I see a fancy, pretty little black jar with gold designs. It was new, and really pretty, so of course, being me...I wanna see what's in it. So I pick it up, unscrew the difficult little cover...and what do I see?<br><br>ASHES.<br><br>I just about threw the jar. I screwed it shut, ran into the bathroom, and took a long shower. <br><br>It -was- my aunt. Who died around 3 weeks ago.<br><br>I don't do dead people. I don't care if they're ash or bone or what...dead people, to me, are disgusting, and I don't wanna get near them. I don't know what I find so disgusting about them, I just don't like them...at all. Which is wierd, considering when my first Papillon died in my arms in 2005, I held him in my lap almost that entire day, before we buried him. I don't know why I'm repulsed by dead human bodies, but wasn't by his little dog body. Although, I do think that if it had been almost any other dog, I wouldn't have touched him. <br><br>Well that was off topic 0o anyway...curiosity sucks. If you see a fancy little jar, and you don't know what's inside...don't touch it. I'm never touching any mysterious little fancy jars again *shudder*<br><br>I hope her spirit/soul/ghost/whatever you wanna call it isn't hanging around this house...we have enough. ><
Bye.

  • haha I feel for you, dead people creep me out (no disrespect there) anyways so I have held dead animals but dead people scare me, and there is no way I could keep somebody's ashes in my house I'de be scared there spirit would be in the house lol, curiosity does suck, I have horrible curiosity issues, no wonder they say "curiosity killed the cat" I'm always regretting the things curiosity gets me into lol

  • The only ashes I'd feel remotely comfortable having in my house is of a pet. But I'd never have someone burn one of my pets. If I wanna keep a piece of them, I don't wash their collars and there's fur stuck to it. :P
    Bye.
  • Aw, poor Kite. I'm the same way when it come to the "insides" of animals vs people. Animals = no problem, people = bit more squimish. I think it's because I come from a family of hunters so I'm used to seeing animals being cut up and stuff. I don't know.

  • xD My great grandpa died Monday. I was looking at his body in the hospital, and the only thing I could think was "Well. He doesn't look real. Weird. Ah well."<br><br>Dead people don't bother me, per say. They just look weird. xD

  • Well I think the reason that people arent squimish around animals is because we see them dead more often like on the road. <br><br>Dead people creep me out a little but not too bad. I had the same thought as you, Kazuko, I thought my grandfather didn't look real.
