100 for Books

edited April 2008 in General Discussion
I have $100 to spend on books, and I need some suggestions.

Please suggest the one book that has been the favourite you have ever read. I don't want like 50 million so-so suggestions.

I pretty much like anything.

(I have already read the Harry Potter and Twilight series)

Because someone wants her dead.
Catherine is sure her own life is also in danger.
Or is she losing her mind?

3.) Love is Patient-Carolyne Aarsen
Summary If Dylan Matheson knew the real reason she had become his secretary, Lisa Sterling suspected his gray eyes would turn to Arctic Ice. Always protective of her step-brother, she now needed to get inside Dylan's company to clear her sibling's name. Lise thought their relationship would be strictly business. Until she accompanied Dylan to a family wedding...
The Mathesons' closeness and absolute trust in faith drewLisa like a blazing fire on a cold winter's night. A tower of strength, Dylan was a man she love unfailingly. But as their attraction blossomed, she feared her secret would jeopardize everything. Unless Dylan's faith made him see love is all things, including forgiveness.

=) Those books I could barely put down
  • -Blue is for nightmares
-white is for magic
-silver is for secrets
-red is for rememberance.

These are excellent books. They are all in a series (I listed them in order). There is this girl that practices Wicca and has visions and things while she is sleeping. Normally about someone going to die.

It is very cool to read if you are interested in magic and such. She performs the standard wicca spells like carving on candles and creating incense. :D

  • Where the Red Ferns grow is very sad. I actually cried. I am glad I read it at home because people would think I was strange.
    8x32tt.png
  • A Patch of Blue by Elizabeth Kata. I hate reading, -hate- it, but I read that book at least 6 times through. That's a huge thing for me though, cause as I said, I hate reading.
    Bye.

  • It was assigned in English last year.
    Bye.
  • To me it was sad. But just saying it was sad doesn't give the ending away. Becuase what I find sad you might not. :D

  • Okay, when ever someone asks me "what is a good book?" I always say ''Peter and the Starcatchers'' it is mainly how Peter Pan, becomes Peter Pan. But it is nothing like the movie. I absolutely HATE Peter Pan. But this is way better. Every one who read it was hooked. I've read it like 10 times (really i have!) and couldn't put it down. The sequel is Peter and the Shadow Thieves. Then, Peter and the Secret of Rundoon. such great books and I would recommend them to ANYONE and EVERYONE!
