Random Paint Question...

Okay, so, I'm turning a scanned image into a lineart using MS Paint (using just plain black for the lines and plain white for everything else.) But when I saved it and later came back, Paint had filled in a bunch of lightish grey pixels all around the lines - pixels I colored white. Anyone know what's going on/how to fix it?

I've had this happen before. It's really how you saved it. I forget which one you save it to in order to avoid this, since it's been a while, but I know that one or two of them stop that from happening....

i think you have to save it in bitmap or jpeg... thats what i always save MS Paint stuff in..XD

Well it depends on what type of file you Save As. Save it as bmp 24 bit for best quality to keep the grey pixels out.

You probably saved it was a jpg or jpeg or whatever they are. I save mine as a PNG and nothing happens.

Ah I thought it probably had to do with file type but didn't know which to try. :P

JPEGs blur your pics a little, I always save pictures now as PNGs, esp. in Paint. Keeps your image exactly how it is before you saved it

bmp is awful for uploading. Save as png, it's the best. I saved a SMALL files that was bmp and it took forever to upload. Then after it uploaded I saved has png and it was faster. Also, gif works if it's not over 250 different colors :]
