Anyone here use Proactiv? Does it work? We ordered it and it came yesterday. I used it tonight, my skin feels soooo soft and smooth. Will it get rid of my acne and blackheads as well as the commertials say?
ehh
it didn't work at all for me =/
but that doesn't mean it won't work for anyone else...

I had to go to a dermentologist to get medicine for my face >_<
It really depends on your skin, and it works differently for everybody. There's an extra strength formula if you want to try that too.
I had pretty bad skin, and by the second day I used Proactiv (last year), all of my acne, and I mean all of it, was gone. But it came back two weeks later.
My advice, make sure you use the mask that it comes with. Now, I just use that mask twice a week and wash my face with a special Nivea face wash you can get in European stores, and my face is clear. So if Proactiv doesn't work for you, try Nivea :]

It only works if you keep it up. I didnt have mine for like 2 weeks and it all came back.so i used other methods.. It was painful but it worked better lol.. So remember keep it up or it doesnt work.. And at first my face burned luck your face is soft.
Para cant make her mind up as to which banner to put on here haha.. crazyy para
I've never used it, but my cousin has and it helped him a lot. I use Noxzema, which you can get at pretty much any store. It keeps my skin pretty clear, but my forehead can be a bit of a problem sometimes. >< It makes my face tingle too. :P
Don't use it. There is a ingredient in it, benzoyl peroxide, that is dangerous in some amounts. That is why they give you like 5 things, they all have the maximum legal limit in them. I use a medication that has benzoyl peroxide in it (I just threw the tube out, because it only is used 1 month per bottle!) and it works. You only can use it at night though, because it makes your skin more vulnerable to the sun, so if you need a tan, use it in mornings. benzoyl peroxide also bleaches sheets on beds and pillow cases. Just go to your doctor or dermatologist and they will give you something. My acne was so bad at one point, they had pills you could take, but you need tests monthly, because it could make you infertile, or make you have too many red blood cells, or white blood cells, I forget...

I've been using it once every two days or so, its working great and I'm not having any bad side effects.

We can't afford to go to the doctor to get monthly tests and stuff...we couldn't afford the Proactive even, someone had to help us pay for it.
If you use Proactiv, and you are say 10, you will see the side effects of peeling, dryness, etc when you are 25, 30. The medication I was talking about that doesn't need tests, but is covered by most insurance is Clindoxyl. This product contains two medications, clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide. Clindamycin belongs to the family of medications known as antibiotics. Benzoyl peroxide is a medication that has antibacterial effects and is a peeling agent. This combination product is used to treat certain types of acne. It works by killing bacteria that cause acne and by peeling off skin cells. It may peel your skin, but rarely.
