This is my first attempt using Adobe Photoshop CS3. I am kinda happy with it. I tried to make this dog look kinda old, by adding the grey-ish flecks. Please, critique wanted. I got the lineart from: <a href="http://demented-pixie.com/color-your-own/"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://demented-pixie.com/color-your-own/</a>; It was made by Summer Fey Foovay. <img src="http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff52/a-sap2/scottie.jpg"; alt="http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff52/a-sap2/scottie.jpg"; class="bb-image" /> I did not make the lineart, so please, don't critique that, just the coloring please.

Were you coloring over the lineart? I suggest this. Get your lineart. Duplicate Layer Go to the top layer, and set the mode to multiple. You'll now be coloring under the lines.

No problem. I work like that often. When you get good enough at shading, you could do something like.. Make the lineart layer transparent, then get a white or transparent file, move it underneath your lineart. Color. Shade. And when you are done, delete the lineart layer to check if it's "ok". If not, press ctrl+z and work on it more.
