• I had a rescue iguana for about a year. I could try to help you out with specific questions. (PM 'em to me. XD)

- They need light (real sunlight). I rescued mine from owners who tied him in a bathtub full of water for over 6 months. His scales changed color, he was sick, etc.
- They need a large enclosure. Recommended to be at least 5 ft tall, 4-5 ft long, and 3 feet wide.
- Cage needs to be sturdy. They WILL get out if they have the chance.
- Needs to be well ventilated and cleaned often (daily, sometimes 2 or 3x a day)
- Put large branches for them to climb on in their cage
- They go to the bathroom in water. You can get a Rubbermaid storage container (the big ones) and put water in it.
- They stink.
- Don't let them "play" with dogs, cats, etc. They could easily severely injure anything they wanted
- Handle very often or they can become aggressive/anti-social
- Give them exercise, they will walk on a leash if trained. Never let them loose, or they can/will run off.
- They can climb trees. Beware of letting them near one.
- They should be fed 2x a day. Veggies like lettuce and spinach. They generally LOVE bananas.
- They need a heat lamp. NO heat rocks.

I can't remember what else.. XD It's been almost like 3 or 4 years since I had him.

You might be able to get your parents to agree if you have enough space to own one. Maybe just make a powerpoint or some form of presentation and show them how much you've learned about them and how you'd like to try one out.

 • Well, it wasn't pretty. One of the people decided she was gonna rip though the car's metal and attack him. So he ran her tail over, and most of it broke off.
