Bah, DS Games?

I'm getting a DS Lite soon... Because I lost my DS and if I ever find it it's as simple as trading it in. I really want to get pokemon pearl.. My brother offered to buy it for me. But.. I'm wondering is there a cheaper and more interesting/better game out there? I like pokemon. I'm into it I suppose. But.. I don't know about pokemon other than the fact I like the strategic point of it.

Would there be a game I would like more? Post name, review, why you did/didn't like it, all that stuff. :)

  • Rune Factory - You are on a farm in a small town where you wake up
not knowing your past. And this girl lets you use her farm, you have
to plow the land and water the fields and such. You also have to deal with
seasons and stuff. And you can also capture monsters ^.^ And the object
of the game is to conquer all these monster filled cave areas, find a wife,
and build a bigger house. You can also make tools, and cook in the game.
There are also holidays.

Its a amazing game :D

  • I second the Rune Factory suggestion

I also suggest Drawn To Life

You can draw your own character to play in it and you have to draw/color in aspects of the game all the way through it. Its super fun.

Its one of the cheaper DS games too which is a plus.
  • Ooh! That seems interesting. I'll check it out. Thanks..

I like the Harvest Moon games. Rune Factory sounds alot like it. :D

Its made by the same people lol.
  • Well if you like pokemon I would suggest Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team - You take a personality test to determine which of 16 pokemon you become(The three starters from the past GB and GBA games plus Pikachu, Eevee, Skitty, Meowth, Cubone, and Machop) you then pick a partner from 10 pokemon(the 3 starters plus Pikachu) You wake up with no memory of how you became a pokemon and are found by the partner. The 2 form a rescue team to save pokemon from natural disaters and recuiting new pokemon to join the team. All the while trying to figure out the reason behind you becoming a pokemon and how it's tied to the fate of the world. After the main quest is cleared there are many sub-quests afterwards. A lot of reveiwers gave it poor reviews but a lot of players have really enjoyed it.
PS-> During the personality test you answear if you're a boy or a girl, if you say you're a girl you can't become Meowth, Machop, or Cyndaquil and if you say you're a boy you can't become Eevee, Chikorita, or Skitty. The rest are can be either.

  • I actually would like to recommend the Pokemon games
Why? They are a bit tougher to get through. I had to consult the internet a few times to get around.
Also, after defeating the Elite Four at the end, you can migrate your pokemon from the other games to your DS.
The global trade option is available. You can use your own wireless connection or a public network (which can be found by using the locate service point option) and also via internet by passing a Friend Code to the other person. I've already traded several times this way. It's great! :3

I hope you consider getting either Diamond or Pearl. :3
  • Hmm... the one and only game I'm good at...

Bleach:The Blade Of Fate

 Go figure, huh? It's fun, if you like fighting. That's pretty
much all it is, and the story mode can be easily beat in 1-2
days, depending on the time you but into it. Also a plus if you
like Bleach...

Pokemon though, I would suggest over that, for the general
fact that it's a game pretty much everyone should enjoy. Tons
of techniques are needed, and not to mention, the game is
never really 'over'. You always can improove your pokemon,
collect new ones get a new team, etc.

And there is always Mario Party DS. Fun & simple. You can also
play it with whoever else has a DS, with the download play..
though I think you can do that with a lot of games :)

I also like Animal Crossing and the Nintendogs series... but
those are in no way challenging, and both get dull after the
rush of excitement when you first play them.

Hope that helps :P
All good things must come to an end. All endings will begin new good things.
