I got a Python! (Pics!)

I went shopping with Christmas money. Me and Dad went to Petco expecting to buy more artificial plants for Moeru's tank. While we were there, I told an employee that their Milksnake had gotten into their Kingsnake's tank...they were like "Awesome -_-" and put him back. I had been considering buying the Milksnake but it was FAR too skittish. So I looked at the Ball Pythons, even though I've been told time and time again that I'm not allowed to get one, and one caught my eye. I could only see a little bit of it, but its markings were gorgeous. I asked an employee to take it out so I could look at it (I can't hold anything at Petco, cause I'm under 18). It was BEAUTIFUL and friendly ^^ for comparison she picked up two of the others and they both balled up instantly. (They do that when they're scared). So it was obvious that the one I liked was the most social. I gave dad a look...didn't even have to say anything. And he said yes!!! We don't know if its a boy or a girl. Sorta hoping its a girl, so she can be Sandee's girlfriend

(Edel's Python. No, they wouldn't actually breed). I'm sooooooooooo excited, I've wanted one for forever! I finally have my own Sandee! Here's pics of Mallie

Very nice Kite! I'm so happy for you! I'm upset about my two baby rabbits dying, maybe my parents will let me adopt the lionhead or the mini rex at the shelter!

Pics and a more detailed description added ^^ Mallie is about 18 inches long (15 inches being a hatchling). She was only $80, which is pretty good for such a good looking, friendly, and sturdy Python. I could pay for her myself X3 I was right proud of that.

So jealous. ;___; But a beautiful snake. I may be getting one here in a couple months if they still have it. I begged the husband for one and he actually said yes. But I have to wait till tax time. hehe

I have another Corn too, Mozart, but he'll be leaving soon...if he doesn't die first. ><; He hasn't eaten for about 2ish months. I asked the breeder to take him back (this is the 2nd time this has happened, the first corn, Songo, died) but she hasn't replied yet. ><; Anyway, I have pics of all 3 Corns if you're interested in seeing them ^^

aww! if they have a - if its a girl right? and an X f its a boy or something.. thats how it was with my Gecko XD haha but i LOVE pythons, my friend had one but she couldent stand feeding it the mice..and the people said to keep it healthy you have to so she started hiding the mice in a box in her drawer.. and they MULTIPLIED! and the snake got sick from eating so little so her mom made her take it back kinda funny huh?

lolo - That's not how it works with snakes XD With Corns you can tell either by closely examining the shape of the tail, or anal probing. With these Pythons you can -sometimes- tell by the size of their anal spurs (claspers) but its more accurate to get anal probing done. (I know its gonna edit those words...ops, I didn't use them in an offensive manner, I honestly don't know any other way to say it...) I think its funny that the mice multiplied, but not that she was starving her poor snake. Jazzles - Thank you!

lol Your actually the one that made me want to go look at snakes. Posting the corn snakes. I thought they were beautiful. And thats what I went to the pet store to look at. Now don't worry about this pet store. She is a pro at reptiles. I know the lady but anyway. She let me hold a corn snake and I was like Omg Aww!. But anyway I never thought the hubby would go for a snake. I took him to the pet store and he actually liked the ball python more then the corn snakes. So hopefully they still have that one there.

lmao XD My parents don't care much for snakes either. But I've owned 5 total. Two died as babies...one because of what the breeder thinks was a respitory infection (we didn't know anything was wrong), and the other was wild-caught and wouldn't eat. Well, we -thought- it was eating, but his newt friend was really eating the food.

xD Aww, I love reptiles and such I remember when I was little, there was this little gecko running around on our wooden porch and I caught it in a bowl or something, but my parents wouldn't let me keep it xD

But I have to give my younger Corn back to the breeder...He (Mozart) hasn't eaten for over a month...just like Songo (the corn who died of a RI) Dreamy - I have turtles ^^ I used to have treefrogs but one died a few days after we got it, and the other just up n disappeared 0o no body in the aquarium, so it must've gotten out. I don't know how it could've, though...Thanks! ^^

Yes, her name is Mallie ^^ Derived from the word Malleable, which means capable of great deformation without breaking, when subject to compressive stress. XP Snakes can do that. Sort of...even though the word generally pertains to metals. What kind of turtles do you have?

I used to have 3.. They got over heated and died. >< I'm saving up slowly for a huge tank so I can own one. ^-^ The shop near by has Red Earred Sliders.. :333 I had like 5 whites tree frogs.. All died mysteriously.. Like.. They were fine then like.. Died. XP Then Acne we released in a nature park.. Which had a pond..

lolo - Well I should say not! XD You don't try to make something eat food that it isn't meant to eat. Doodle - I'm scared of spiders, too. I only kill them if they're inside the house. They're fine outside when they're doing their job. But the kind we get in my house will infest if you don't kill them...
