Peripheral Vision Man
(Do not steal!)
By: Janelle M. Wilson
(WeisseEdelweiss)

I wrote this at 1 AM
Once there was a gentleman that lived just beyond your peripheral vision and he came to visit me. He knocked on my door and sat just beyond my peripheral vision. The man wore no socks and I wondered just exactly what kind of household environment he was raised in. So I frowned. I think he noticed me doing so because he was no longer in my peripheral vision. He liked to linger there for a long time, but he never said anything directly just in my mind. I looked away and he was gone, but knew he was still there just beyond my peripheral vision.
He left after staring atme, while in my peripheral vision, for a while so I figured I’d see what was on the television until he returned. And just incase he did I left the doors unlocked. My dog tends to bark at strangers but not this one at all.
He was very kind at every visit and very polite, yet happy standing there staring for no reason. Sometimes he’d ask about my day and then politely turn around and walk toward the day. Well, sometimes I never knew if it was day or night, but I knew it was at a time.
We always have a calm visit. A silly thing always happens that shouldn’t really be so strange. He asks about simple things in the house like a candle and what it does. I tell him “it’ll burn you should you decide to touch it while I retrieve a matchâ€
