Experience Points

edited December 2007 in Game Suggestions
As said <a href="http://virtualpups.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=43722"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">here it really ticks me off when those irresponsible novices
buy a new breed, and then just for money, breed untrained, unshowed
ones.

For the people who care about the population of the breeds on this game
I personally think that there should be some sort of experience point
system, where you can only buy a breed depending on how much
experience you have. That way, everyone will know that you aren't just
breeding for money, and the shiny new breeds, will have clean, well bred
lines for everyone to be proud of :)

If you still don't get what I'm saying:
for example, Golden Retrievers (and alot of other breeds) are already
very popular, and just about everyone has them, so you would only need
the minimum amount of experience points to buy one. As for new breeds
such as the Halloween breeds, or the Christmas breeds that will soon be
added, a higher amount of experience points would be needed since there
is little of them (although some are already up there in their population)

So...lemme know what you think, and I don't mind negative comments as
long as you keep it "not-rude" ;)

 • Im in the middle on this, though I think its a good idea.

Though since im not a sponser any more, i cant train or breed my own dogs no more, so i have to buy them then pay some one else to train and breed, though the other person would get the points and i would be left with nothing. Thats a downfall to this idea.

The other thing is that its just a game and people should be able to do what they want. The more bad dogs of a breed the more your good dogs will get noticed. Its not real life so it doesnt matter if the dogs are good or bad.

Thats my opinion though as i stated above I do kinda like the idea.
 • I agree with 3521. This is a game. I mean who cares about how many dogs there are of that population. As long as you know your dogs are good and you are contributing to the breed in a good way. Why care about it? Face it no dog breed stays rare on here and I have realized that. So I say no. A person should be able to play the game how thay want. Not how other people thing the game should be played. If that means breeding crappy statted dogs, by all means go ahead. These "dogs" don't get hurt. So I don't see how they are hurting anyone.
