Well, Mystic kinda needs VP and VHR money... so basicly I need your opinion on some of my little lineart thingys. Tell me your opinion on them and also how much you would pay if you were intrested in them. Please be nice though I have no special program I do them on Paint and I think they are rather good for Paint so take that inot consideration please. Well, the special program doesn't make the artist for one thing. The truth is your not really that great at what you do, but practice makes a 10 year old football player into a pro (sometimes). I can't give you an honest estimate of how much I would pay, because I honestly wouldn't buy one. I suggest taking the time to reference images of horses and practicing. I say this because even simple things such as the position of the eye is off. My rule of thumb on artwork is: If you don't like how it looks then don't post it. This is the internet. Your reputation is at stake here. Never in life should you display something that you think is half assed. Good luck in your studies.

Harsh critique, but I have to agree. Frankly, you aren't that good, it's not bad for MS Paint(I've seen worse), but you need some practice. Work on your propartions, especially.

I agree with SDK, I have seen worse as well, however that doesn't give merit to your work either. A tip, look for pictures showing how the Golden Ratio is applied. It helped me out by a mile.

Actually, its rather good. But, my eyes are at a -2.75. Im nearly blind. w/o glasses/contacts, my eyes are 2400; BAD. Like the next is 3000, then 4000, then you have reinal detachment

I asked for comments and that's what I got thanks guys. Just to add something I wasn't expecting everyone to be drouling over them. Mostly I do them when I'm bored. Also I never claimed to be someone from the Group of Seven so don't make me sound like a stuck up little person that thinks she can do everything... Because I know I can't and I know I need work but as I said I only do it for fun. WeisseEdelweiss you said "If you don't like how it looks then don't post it. This is the internet. My opinion on that is it's a damn game I seriously don't care if it's the internet and if people I don't know see my "oh crappy, ugly" drawings. My reputation on here is quiet good and you know what... anyone that knows me, knows I don't take things like drawing seriously. I was drawing stick men for people... I really don't care about what people think of that but this is a game to have fun on. So why not share my "oh crappy, ugly" drawings that I did for the sake of fun.

probably not the best time to point out my eyes are -4.75 I wear contacts mostly (hate my glasses) and without them I cant even see to the end of my arm!!!!

Well Taylor...you asked for people's opinions, not necissarily all good comments. They were honest. They only did what you asked. If you don't want people's honest opinions, next time don't post saying that you do and ask that people don't give critiques. They also gave advice and tried to help you improve. I'd say you're sounding pretty ungrateful right now. I'm sorry, I don't usually make statements like this, but I couldn't ignore this. I'm not trying to pick a fight, either. Just speaking my mind. I apologize if I've offended you.

...I don't normally bother with posts like this, but I see a potential with you. Yes, your proportions are off and all of the rest of that jazz, but the simple way you drew your horses shows that you 'do' have a general idea of what you are doing,and with a load of practice, I truly believe you could turn out to be quite good. Because, personally, those little horses there look exactly like mine did when I started drawing. xD Now, I would not call myself a great artist, so don't get me wrong, but taking my little stick horses and people and things, I improved them over and over and over again and didn't let harsh criticism get to me, and I think I've done darn well. I also think you could too. ^^ And truth be told, it is just the internet, and the internet is not serious business. Well, you asked for an opinion. I think you just got one that you didn't like. That's your problem if you submit things you only do when you're bored and then expect a sugar coated comment. Art is not a "damn game". You either practice and get better or submit "crap" and get harsh critiques that have obviously flustered you.

I really don't care about what people think of that but this is a game to have fun on.

That's not what your title says. You're just flustered...

Well.. we all have to start somewhere. Can't just expect to be the best artist over night. I'm sure WeisseEdelweiss whether he or she wants to admit it or not... started doing stick horses or big blobs with manes and tails. We all did that's what makes me mad that people don't understand that... well most people. *not looking at anyone inparticular although i could name a few...

Exactly. And you have the potential to be good. All it takes is effort. Some people tend to forget the effort it took. Or want to forget it. Either way, I wish you luck with your art. ^_^ Just stick with it, one day, the effort will pay off. ^_^

That's not the point that I was trying to make. It's not about stick people. The point I made was that you don't care what people think about your art, however you asked for an opinion here. Oy vey. I believe that some people need to consider the age group that is most prominent on the forums (not saying the creator of this post is necessarily of that age, but I'm sure there are some reading it) and should temper their comments accordingly. This isn't an "intense" art site - it's a site about virtual dogs and art is more of a side thing. This SHOULD be an area for ANYONE dabbling in art to post and not feel threatened/insulted. Now then, I'm locking this since the argument has gotten a little out of hand. Weisse, thank you for bringing this to my attention, but your use of masked cursing has earned you a 24-hour forum ban.
