• When you go to a restaurant/food place, especially if it's new, don't go during lunch (11:30 am - 1:00 pm), and don't go after 5 or 6 (most people get off work around then).

You will definitely not want to go on the 3rd or the 4th. Every restaurant will probably be busy because of the holiday. There will be 20 minute - 2+ hour long waits for some places.
Weekends/holidays always cause large crowds (dates, celebrations, parties, etc).

I don't think the temperature of the day really matters towards anyone's food choice. Other than, if it's hot out, they want someplace that's going to be air conditioned.

I recommend either going once they open or after lunch time.

New places usually hold these gigantic banners that say "Grand Opening" and they send out a bunch of flyers. That obviously attracts lots of customers, so it'll probably be quite busy for the first week or two weeks. If you can get there right as they open up for the day or wait until it appears to clear out some, you'll probably have more success at getting a fast seating/service.

I hope that helps with your decision. ^^
