Since Stan Lee was involved with the making of the film I doubt he's that unhappy about it. He didn't say he was in the interviews I saw on the special features on the dvd. I enjoyed the movie but then I have never been that into the comic. I prefer manga to Amercian comics.

 • I loved the movie.. I love all of the X-Men movies. I think they have done a great job with them.

 • you do have to remember that there are a ton of alternate storylines for Xmen. The movies seem to pick and choose which to follow.

I mean from the very first movie they left out Rogue aquiring her powers from Ms. Marvel. Which nixes her flying and super strength *shrugs*

not to mention, where's Gambit!!

I have to agree. It was the best one, in my opinion. But then again, I've never read the comic...

True true.

What really eerrks me though is that in XII they introduce nightcrawler, don't continue.

and in XIII Peter, aka "Tinman" as the Logan character like to call him, has an American accent.... he was RUSSIAN people :x

 • Really? Would never have known that. XD

I liked all the movies though. =3

And by what you've said, I'm glade I don't read the comics because if the movies were really off, I'd be irritated by the way the movies were made and it'd mess up my love of the movies. XD

 • i didnt think it was bad just didnt think it was awsome, i thought The Omen and When A Stranger Calls was stupid they wernt even scary nor did i even get the secound movie i feel like it was a mess.

Colossus (Piotr Nikolaievitch Rasputin), was in XII as well (briefly), not really sure why they went in that direction with leaving out the Russian accent

 • Let's put it this way, the only thing the movies had were visual affects, everything else was wrong....

there are parts even that ring a bell in my mind with anime and cartoons based on the X-men, in these movies, to give you an idea of how mushed it was

 • The cartoons weren't totally faithful to the actual comics and stories either.

There are multiple Xmen "realities" though, where different things happen to different characters. Jean Grey does become Dark Phoenix at one point like in the movie, it just didn't happen exactly the way the movie made it happen.

Basically what they did was take the characters from Xmen and write some new stories, mostly dealing with surviving as a mutant in a world full of people who fear them.

 • No, no... I was trying to imply that the movies drew more off of the cartoons than the actual comics.
