SWAPPING / GIVING FAME POINTS

I have a couple of ideas to tell everybody! Idea 1: Swapping play cash for fame points.It could be for example $10 per fame point and there could be a page that has something like this on it: <img src="http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i282/Raspberry-Face/famepoints.jpg"; alt="http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i282/Raspberry-Face/famepoints.jpg"; class="bb-image" /> Excuse the paint works hehe And maybe some info in what it's all about. Idea 2: Giving fame points to someone.Maybe it could look like this?: <img src="http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i282/Raspberry-Face/famepoints0.jpg"; alt="http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i282/Raspberry-Face/famepoints0.jpg"; class="bb-image" /> Again excuse the paint works hehe And again some info up the top. Sound like a good ideas?

I really like the idea! because sometimes you need fame points to improve not just your dogs but your kennel also! I think you should be able to sell fame points!

Hate it. Why not work for something? Its not that hard to earn fame points. -.- I worked my butt off to get on the top kennels list. What would be the point of that anymore? So if i have lots of money I can go and buy the fame and bam I am #1 until someone else comes along and buys more than me.

Have to agree with Zoe on this one, fame points are not hard to earn.. and selling fame to improve a dog can already be done so I dont see a need for this.

I like the point of exchanging points to others, but then again, Zoe's right. There wouldn't be that much of a point to fame points anymore. But maybe if they were very expensive, to buy just a single one, it could work...

I see Zoe's point, but still. If you look in the real world, it's like this. Of course there are people that work hard, get perfect grades, do all the extracurriculars, to get into Harvard or whatever. But then, there are also the superrich people, who have connections, who also get in. Not nessearily because their grades were better than people that got rejected. So, although you can work to gain what you want, money can also get you places. And no one can deny that's not true on VP. THat said, I agree with the second suggestion. Not so sure about the first.

I agree with Zoe 100%. So I'm thinking that only the 1st idea would be good. Where you could just sell the points for money, but the points wouldn't go anywhere, just back into the game.

Now that you guys point is out it is kind of unfair I had to work hard to get like 2k fame points and lots of people have around 20k+ and they are on the top list but for the rich people they could just buy fame points and then they would be the best player

This has been brought up and shot down a lot of times. I have four (I think, haven't checked today) kennels on the top kennels list with high fame. I worked for that fame. I don't want people to be able to 'buy' their way to the top of the list. It's not hard, get a dog and event it to death, then get another and do the same. Why do you need to 'buy' fame? The only way I would ever agree to this is if it only increased your 'available' fame points and not your Fame. Then you'd have fame for skills and dogs but you wouldn't show up with the fame on the top kennels list.

But what about the idea of just selling fame points for money, but the fame points don't go to anyone, they just go into the game?

What about if you could only trade fame points with kennels that are linked that way you would still have earned all the fame points just in different kennels.

Its actually not as easy as you say it is. Some players have no accses to good training. I like the idea of only trading avaliable fame points.

You don't have to have a dog trained to gain fame. I know some pretty crappy trained dogs that are international and they had maybe 100 in Disc and they have tons of fame.

True Mini True Zoe but never seen one Zoe, it is very hard when you barley get the consept on the game and you need fame to handle other peoples dogs to make money so you need to get them fame. Rarley can you find cheap sponser trainers that are good or at least somewhat. It is hard I was a novice for around a year I upgraded about 6 months ago(Well my aunt did and I playing again)

For example. This kennels dogs are almost all international. They are #2 on the Top Kennels list. The dogs are just trained in skills. I agree with those who don't like these ideas. It's easy to gain fame points, you don't even have to train your dogs..just enter them in free events. You're guaranteed at least one point for entering. If you're eventing several dogs in as many free events you can find each day it does not take long for them to add up. I had more then enough fame to fill in the skills I needed within a few days when I first started the game. It's really easy.

I don't really think this is a good idea. Fame points are easy to get, as Jinxx and some of the other people sead. Just put your dogs in events.

If you just put your dog in events. And they don't win, their showing score won't be so great. Trading them in my opionion, would be fine. I mean, do you honestly think theres going to be that many people selling them? And, what will they go for? I doubt people are going to spend millions on fame points, when they don't really DO anything.

You can purchase a free dog off the market and event it a lot to collect fame points, I'm not talking about showing your true eventing dogs in just anything. Fame is not hard to get, there's no reason to trade them other than the already 'adding them to dog's stats' option.

If its so easy to get them, then how come people are suggesting this? If it was easy as pie, people wouldn't be suggesting this. Just because its easy for you, doesn't mean its so easy for somebody else =]

If you can take any dog, be it trained or not and enter it in events it is easy to gain fame..for everyone (and if you're showing more than one dog, it's even easier). People are suggesting this because they want to instantly fill skills in. It's not difficult for anyone to gain fame, novice or sponsor. I've done it on @two dozen sponsors (where you need more fame for skills) plus a good number of novice accounts. I'm not the only one..lots of people do it.

What about the people with dial up or very slow internet? Lets see, if the page takes 1 minute to load, think about how long that would take. This is my opioion isn't even worth it. Its not like any of these suggestions are seen by Nef unless the op's like them.

I have dial up and I've had dial up since before I started playing vp. Opinions are fine, but since you do not know the requirements for what gets to Nef suggestion wise and what doesn't, how can you point fingers at people? Besides the fact that just getting passed on to Nef does not mean they become part of the game.
