Realistic...

edited February 2006 in Game Suggestions
I think this has been posted before, but maybe we can hav more realistic colors? No, I don't mean for gift colors, I mean that if you breed a regular dog, lets say a labrador, you don't get something like salt and pepper, but something like Chocolate/brown or Yellow or Black. It's just a pet peeve of mine..Kinda bothers me.

  • One of the points of this game is to breed dogs true to their breed. Part of the challenge is getting your dog to look like it should. If you are concerned with the color of your VP dogs, then only breed those dogs that are the correct color. Just like in real life, there are dogs that don't fit their breed standard, either because of color, markings, size, attitude, conformation, etc. The ones that don't meet the standards don't get bred by serious breeders. If you don't think that a Salt and Pepper Lab fits the requirements that you are aiming for, don't breed it. Those "default" colors (salt and pepper, black, white, etc) are included as an additional challenge to breeding the perfect VP dog. If you are not up to the challenge of breeding the right color into your lines yourself, then just go to the marketplace and purchase one of the color you want.
  • Oh, I see. I never knew that..Which is sad, because I've been playing for over a year
